I'am using gordian knot for a long time with Divx 5.1.2 pro and never had any problem's. I recently installed the latest version of Divx and the file size is lower than i want. I set the file size at 400MB and it comes out as a file size of 350MB. When i install Divx 5.1.2 again the problem is gone. Settings are the same. What am i doing wrong. I'am using GK 0.35.0.Setup.2.

You may need to choose a different profile. I don't know if there's an unrestricted as in XviD, but in order for Gordian Knot to produce the filesize you specify the profile needs to be able to achieve it.

Profile is the same as in the older version of divx.
Home theater profile.

DivX has changed a lot. Using the same profile you were before doesn't mean you'll get the same results. I don't currently have a DivX 6.x version installed. Is there any unrestricted profile?
Edit: I installed the free "Community" version - if that's also what you're using it's probably those restrictions that's preventing you from reaching your filesize.

I have got the 6.4 pro edition.
I have set the profile as you set and will try it out now and let you know if it help's.

That didn't help. Same file on 2 PC's. One with the old profile, set outpute file at 1000mb and that came out that way. On second pc same setting and it came out at 774 MB , with latest version of divx.

Like I said, the same settings with different versions of DivX are likely to yield different results. Have you tried its built-in bitrate calculator and adjusted it manually?

I have tried every setting i got think off nothing helps. It looks that divx is setting the file size not GK. When i set the quality higher the file size becomes bigger then what i want.
Manual calulating is not a option, convert to much.
