when i encoded "HIGHLANDER:END GAME" then i compared original dvd video picture with encoded DivX4, picture in DivX4 is brighter and saturation is not corect in DivX4,
how can i solve this color "distorsion"???????

and two more questions:
1.)
when to use which bicubic mode(soft,sharp,neutral)
which mode is the best
2.)
when i right click on encoded(in Gknot) *.avi file then on details
there is section "other information", how can i change it.......

color distortion: are you sure you haven't changed the divx codec properties? some people tent to increase brightness in the codec and these settings are global.

1)gknot makes the selection for you based on the bits/pixel*frame values. Personally.. when I use divx4 I always use sharp bicubic as divx4 tends to blur much more than divx3 and I don't like blur at all.. I like my movies crisp. But you really have to figure out the ideal setting for your own by trying everything out (or you'll just let the program do it if you're happy with the crispness of your movies)

2)go to my download page, avi editing category, click on full listing and look for alphatv avi editor.

furthermore.. please use a message subject that tells us something about the post. It will ensure that the right people will read it. Many people ignore posts with subject like these because it's really completely against the netiquette. Don't use more than one special char in series.. and leave away the help please.. makes me want to not help you just because you used such a subject
