I just bought the above movie for my duaghters, but when put it in the computer to do anything with it, it fools the computer into thinking no disc is in the drive. I don't think it is that new protection mentioned in the other post, but if it is then AnyDVD does not work on it. Any one seen this or have and Idea how to get the computer to see it?

Thanks in advance

Well, it could be the new scheme as seen on Silent Hill, or it could be a defective disk - sounds like the filesystem can't be read.

Try opening DVD Decrypter, change the mode to ISO9660 from auto and then insert the DVD.

Tried that and still get medium not present error. Disc is new, no scratches and plays in all the DVD players just fine. Could the disc be defective in a way that it plays like normal in a stand alone player but won't read in a computer?

It could be the drive. Try a different drive. I have had DVDs which one of my drives refused to recognize, but the other did.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I tried 2 computers and 4 drives. nothing changes. I will try my laptop with only a DVD-rom and seem what happens though.

It will work on my laptop which is DVD-rom only. None of my burners will read it. What's up with that?

Sounds like your problem is related to specific hardware (your burners and/or your desktop system) and not the DVD itself...

As an experiment, WITHOUT AnyDVD running, you might try FIRST starting "RipIt4me" and then placing the DVD in your drive/burner...
