View Full Version : How to auto-create a PSL-File ?

Dear All,

I have learned in the last weeks that a PSL-file can be very helpful in connection with DVDDecrypter.

If I am using DVDDecrypter today I get out the bad sectors in a "trial and error" attempt in IFO mode (check box on - check box off for each chapter and cell and starting decrypting again and again until is runs smoothly through the DVD).

I am sure there is a more effective way to do this.

Which tool allows to create this PSL-file automatically for a DVD (if any)?

Thank you for your help.

RipIt4Me (www.ripit4me.org) will do this for you.

To be honest... I would prefer to use DVDDecrypter instead of doing everything automatically with RipIt4Me.

Is there a separate solution?

RipIt4Me uses DVD Decrypter. You can use the one click mode and get the PSL out from there, then close RipIt4Me.

If you want to use the IFO mode in DVD Decrypter you can use that way or try AnyDVD, link is in my signature.

The PSL2 Plugin for PgcEdit has an advanced mode that should make it possible for creating the PSL2 file.

To see if a DVD has any ARccOS on it, open it in PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) and do this:

Then move to Before rip: Generate PSL2 file and follow the prompts. If you wish, you can then deselect the cells indicated in IFO mode (DVD Decrypter will detect many of them anyway)
