Could you please explain after i convert a DVD to AVI i am losing volume. When i try to play new disc on i have to have volume fully up. I use Verbatim Discs so it is not disc quality is the problem

It may not be clear to you from that link - if you're keeping original audio you'll need to adjust the volume settings within AC3 Filter.
