I downloaded a concert broadcast dvd.
It has a commercial segment that the author did'nt bother to edit out and arbitrary chapter points.
I understand that there are several ways to fix these issues, but what would let me do it without having to re-encode and without having to make a new copy of the data on my hard drive, a bit low on space, but rather edit it "in place".
Thanks in advance.

Hi! - anbd welcome to the Doom9 forums.

You might want to re-read the "ANNOUNCEMENT" at the top of this page...

I'm not quite sure how to interpret #2, which I may or may not be breaking, as it was a legal download. Nevertheless if the moderator finds my post inappropriate then just delete my post. I hope someone that sees this could atleast PM me, and give a few hints.

Forum rule (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) #6 does not allow your request. Just because it was broadcast on TV at some point somewhere doesn't mean it's legal to download. It's still illegally obtained copyrighted material.

What's to be interpreted? It clearly states "No help will be provided in regards to downloaded files."

"Downloaded files" doesn't really say anything about legal status, however I realize now that I might be in a legal gray area. I assumed that since the copyright owner tolerates the tracker it was legal.
