Is there an app for OS X like DVD Shrink that can take DVD9 and backup ti ISO/DMG/directory that I can then burn to DVD5?

I like to be able to choose full DVD or movie only along with audio channels/subtitles.

Right now it just looks like I have to use MacTheRipper to rip to HDD, then convert with DVD2OneX. Any other options?

Thanks

Hi!

Is there something lacking in DVD2OneX?

not really, it's just annoying to have two separate programs that I have to do the process in. Rip DVD, then Convert to DVD5, then burn. It's 3 steps rather than the 1 I used to have on WinXP with DVD Shrink.

Which is no longer the case with the new copy protections schemes.

So far you must not be trying to backup a DVD which has the new copy protection schemes.

@pixelbakerso far I've had no problems ripping with my nec nd-3550a burner (alternative firmware) and DVD ShrinkIf, for example, you try to use DVD Shrink (only) to rip any SONY DVD released in the last two years ("ARccOS" copy protection, or any Disney DVD released in the last year or so ("RipGuard" copy protection), you'll discover that DVD Shrink fails...
