Following a complete re-install of windows I get these audio errors in GSpot.

I have tried reinstalling divx, xvid and my sound drivers without success. How can I fix this?

EDIT: Changed to more accurately describe the problem. So you all don't waste time answering. lol

Hi!

It sounds like you simply have to reinstall some of your audio codecs...

Ah, sorry for delay in answering. I had already tried reinstalling everything without success. I found a description of how to reinstall the basic windows audio codecs and did that too. That seemed to help a little. Then I noticed in VDMod that all the audio codecs are missing in the list except for the odd few windows ones I reinstalled, plus lame. I downloaded DS Filter Manager and the Radlight one and have tried playing around with those hoping to fix things, but I'm not 100% clued up on this stuff yet. I've obviously cocked something up somewhere.

I AM getting sound again now even though GSpot still reports the same (tried DLing new GSpot too!) so for the moment I am leaving it as it is. I have only just done a complete re-install of windows and everything else which bores the heck out of me and takes at least a full day to get everythint back set up again and I am now resigned to having to do it again because of this. but can't be bothered to face it yet (I'm not happy if I know things are not right.)

Thnks for the reply anyway. I just wondered if there might be some commonly known reason for codecs going missing before I re-installed everything AGAIN. Ah well, let's hope I don't make the same mistake again!
