There is DV input so it's compatible with firewire. The recorder has it's HDD, so is it posible to copy movies from computer through firewire to it?

I don't know about this specific recorder but some recorders with DV input do NOT work with a computer. Only a camcorder (or video recorder) will work.
It depends on the chipset used by the recorder for the DV conversion.

My recorder is a DMR-EH60, which has DV-in, too. I haven't tried it yet, but I assume that you can upload movies through firewire from a computer just like you can upload movies to a camcorder with DV-in. NLE programs, WinDV, or DVIO should do the job, I guess. You should know that the video gets converted to MPEG-2 when transferred through the DVD recorder's DV plug, i.e. you cannot store it in DV format on the recorder's hdd.
Because you made me curious, I'll try that in the weekend and report back. :)
