hi..
i would like to extract all or atleast 2 of the subtitles from a DVD..
from there i want to use/translate one of them (not the english) into another language and then add it back
so..!?!
with what software can i fast and easy extract excisting subtitles from a DVD..??

Use SubRip (or DVDSubEdit's OCR function) to convert your bitmap DVD subtitles to text format (.srt format).
When you're done editing the .srt file you can convert it back to DVD subtitles using SubtitleCreator.
Search this forum (or use google) to find out more about the above mentioned tools and the process. There are plenty of guides out there...

In Hong Kong we do a lot the task. If you do not want to "touch" the subtitle there is no need to do the OCR. OCR an English subtitle is an easy thing but not for all other languages such as Chinese in our case.
For putting back the sub that is not modified I always use VobSub config to get the idx+sub and save it as .son and put it back with DVD Maestro.
