Same place you can find the source for the rest of x264: Videolan's svn.

Could you also provide a .zip only version containing only the x264vfw.dll and the x264vfw.inf install file. There are those of us who prefer not to user installers, if possible.

Personally I don't use it and don't recommend to play avc in vfw but some other people use it...so why not after all.

Thanks for providing the VFW Builds. I hope you'll find the time to do this every now and then (Don't have to be every Revision...580, 590, 600 or so would be enough).

Thanks again.

PS.:
A big buh to all that are against VFW. VFW forever !!! :D :p

oOo yeah...why ? That's the wrong question. The correct one : to be or not to be ? That's the question.

Personally speaking I still use the VfW builds because it's the only way I can obtain a reliable (non B-VOP) AVC stream to work with QT7 player!

Even then, any build higher than Sharktooth's Core 36 SVN 322 dated Oct 09 2005, won't allow me to generate 2-pass encodes with MPEG Mediator. All I get is the following error message: -

No, vfw can't die.

If someone make directshow x264 encoder, so I can use x264 in my TV card program to encode analog TV streams directly in x264, only then I will abandon VFW.

crnagora, welcome to Doom9 forum. As you can see, and I love VFW x264 builds. (pozdrav crnogorac, pošalji mi privatnu poruku).
