This is a video DVD, not an audio one. Audio is AC3 or PCM.

Option1
Is there an easy way to basically rip the audio from each chapter (song) to an MP3. Recommendations of commercal software (that actually works) is fine. A bonus would be the ability to decode the AC3 surround to 2 channel "Dolby headphone" surround.

Option 2
Use simplified or automated steps using the various tools on here. So far everything I have read, and the tools I have downloaded will eventually give me one long MP3. If I missed an easy way or trick to get separate MP3's at chapters I would appreciate the info or where I can find it. So far AutoGK has been the easiest to walk away and get a long MP3 vs ripping and joining, but still takes time since it is encoding video too (even with minimal compression). Is there a tool to rip one long MP3 of the DVD and walk away. If editing a long MP3 or WAV is my only choice I guess I can live with it.

You can extract the audio by chapter or by PGC using DVD Decrypter in IFO mode. From there you can use BeSweet's GUI (BeLight) to convert the AC3 audio directly to MP3. If it's a concert DVD, ripping by chapter should separate it just like the chapters are separated in viewing the DVD.

Thanks. Sorry for the delay in the reply. I was busy last weekend and it took me a few attempts to find all the proper settings. I wanted to wait before posting a stupid question. The IFO mode was the key. I might have some BeSweet / BeLight questions. I still need to play with and figure out some more of the AC3 conversion settings.

Thanks again.

MP3 Direct cut is good for cutting it up into segments. I just did a Grateful Dead show today and it was pretty easy.
