For some reason my DVD player is showing my subs pretty small, is there a way to make the fonts any bigger? or is it something that only the player can do (and in which my case, it can't).

You can make them bigger by change the font size in subtitlecreator

Hi,
You can make them bigger by change the font size in subtitlecreator
Actually, this depends on your subtitles. If they are in a separate SRT file, you can use SubtitleCreator to embed them in you DVD. You can choose their size befor you build your DVD.
If they are already in the DVD, you can't change their size easily because the embedded subtitles are bitmaps. What you can do is try to transform the bitmaps to SRT text file.
For this, you must extract the bitmaps from the DVD (first, rip the DVD, then demux it). And then use an OCR to transform to srt. You can use VSrip or SubRip for this. Maybe some others?
Or easier, try to find the SRT file corresponding to your DVD on the internet.
Then, when you have an srt file, use SUbtitleCreator to add it to your DVD.

Sorry i forgot to add, the problem with the small font subs are only when i play divx files with srt's on my DVD player.

Well, in that case it all comes down to your standalone DivX player - some players have font size settings in their setup menu.
If yours don't it might help to update its firmware.

I have been successfully converting (except for a minor glitch) .srt to .idx/.sub (VobSub) using the stickied information on this forum. Part of the reasoning is because I can get a better font using VobSub on my standalone than by using .srt files.
