MPEG-2 private stream 1 question

Hi,
My question is about MPEG -2 program stream in generally, not about the DVD.

Can I insert in MPEG-2 private stream 1 (0xBD) any user-defined data I want (i.e. kind of counters, locations, etc.) or I'm restricted to "non-MPEG audio and subpictures"?

The meaning of the data in either private stream is up to the application reading it. So if you are talking about private stream 1 of a DVD then avoid making the data look like DVD data, ie avoid substream numbers in the ranges used by DVD.
