View Full Version : Deinterlacing from Dscaler in Avisynth?

Alright, here's some background info: I'm working with video captured from my PS2, and as with many games there tend to be static images on the screen much of the time. My problem with most deinterlacers I've tried is they are terrible with this and I see many artifacts along the straight edges of the static images on screen when there is high motion going on around/behind them. (I've toyed with settings but then I end up getting interlace lines left behind...)

However, with TomsMoComp selected in DScaler 4.1.15, if I open the raw AVI and watch it in there it does not have this problem. The static areas are left perfectly and the motion looks good. I found a version of this deinterlacer for avisynth but it doesn't work nearly as well and only outputs at 30 fps. So is there any way I can get the exact settings used by default in Dscaler for this deinterlace filter, for Avisynth?

Thanks

interleave(tomsmocomp(-1,5,0),doubleweave().selectodd().tomsmocomp(-1,5,0))
