avi to svcd question regarding aspect ratio

hi i got an .avi tv show capture thats 624 x 352 and im converting in dvd2svcd to svcd, question is should i be picking 16:9 borders added or 16:9 anamorphic, i tried both and i dont see a difference when u watch it, stilll shows the same aspect ratio, but im thinking that anamophic would preserve more of the original avi since no borders are added, when i watch the svcd with powerdvd as a 16:9 borders added it is 4:3 with black borders while anamorphic is just bigger and wider with no borders but then watching it on dvd player in living room as anamoprhic in dvd player u choose what the output is so the dvd player just adds the black borders if u watchin it on a 4:3 tv and i couldnt test a 16:9 tv as i dont own one but i makin this for the GF to watch on her tv but im assuming when she would watch it her dvd player would be set to 16:9 and anamorphic would show more picture than say the 16:9 borders added, anyway i seem to be blabbin lol but i hope yas get the idea, anamorphic or 16:9 borders added should i be pickin hehe thanks

will 16:9 anamophic and 16:9 letterboxed(4:3) display the same on a widescreen tv when the output on dvd player is set to 16:9 cause they display the same when dvd player is set for 4:3 on my tv
