I am using DVD decryptor to rip my dvd's in ifo form. I have followed the videora guide down to a last period. My problem is that when ripping it says i am out of space on my harddrive. I checked my space, but I have still over 20 gb left. Has anyone experience this problem before or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance

Oh, my harddrive is configured in fat32 if that makes any difference.

It does - FAT32 has a limitation of 4 GB for a single file. If you've set file splitting to none to rip a movie in one file, it will often exceed that amount and you'll get a "drive full" error. You'll have to leave file splitting set to 1 or 4 GB.

maybe you lack of free cluster in your FAT.
your HDD is in cause, not your softwares :sly:

The same thing, if you need to create a file over 4GB. If those programs can't import the chunks ripped and append them together for reencode, you won't be able to use them either. You may have to encode them separately and either reassemble them afterward or just have a movie in two pieces on your player.

I would suggest switching to NTFS. The only reason to use FAT32 is if you are multibooting Linux or an old Microsoft OS, or the drive in question is an external drive that you use with Mac OS X. Both these operating systems can read, but not reliably write to NTFS.

As long as you are running an NT series OS (NT, 2000, XP), you can use NTFS. It's a much better file system :)

There are free converter tools out there, though they may not work on a boot drive. Worst case, reinstall the OS, and format as NTFS this time.

If you're running XP, there's a method of converting a drive to NTFS without formatting it and erasing all data. If you're running 98 or prior, it's time for an upgrade.

As you will be warned when you start, you will lose all data on that drive if you follow that procedure. There is a method for formatting a drive so you won't lose the data, I just don't recall what it is.
