urghh..did you re-read your post again to see if it makes any sense?
I have this home made film on my HD it is on Media player classic and another on realplayer -> Let me guess, you have one file which opens by default in MPC and another which opens by default in RealPlayer?
when i try to burn them using divx -> OK, not a clue what you are talking about. Can you try rewording this?

You might start by familiarizing yourself with some terminology. There is no "it is on Media player classic," the file is probably in AVI format (with the extension .avi) and it is associated with MPC. "Burning" usually means to a disk - if you meant you tried to reencode them using something like Dr. DivX, no, it doesn't import RealMedia files or other DivX files.
Were you planning to reencode them to a new .avi container, or were you trying to "burn" them to a CD or DVD?

Ideally I wish like to burn/convert onto cd/dvd to play on my home dvd player. Sorry about the lack of terminology.

Hi!Sorry, how do i find out the names of the files?1) What software/procedures did you use to create the videos?
2) What names did you give the video files?

If you can explain exactly what you intend to do with these files, it would aid in our ability to help you do what you need to with them. You should be able to find the answer on your own in previous posts, and until you learn the basics and some of the terminology so your questions make sense you will only struggle with it.

You must have had your crystal ball polished recently. I was as baffled as unskinnyboy.
