(EDIT: whom it may consern: problem fixed no need to waist time reading if your not expernecing a similar prob).

B4 i go around messing with drivers, i wonted to ask and get some input first.

here is the situation:
winXP pro SP1a
fx5500 77.72 forceware driver
only have installed: haali splitter|ffdshow|coreAVC|Quicktime alternative| = |zoomplayer 4.51|latest MPC| VLC

in media player classic and VLC, the color is screwed when using Overlay.. it outputs correctly when switched to VMR9 renderless or whatever.

HOWEVER, Zoomplayer outputs the vid correctly when set to Overlay.

So know im just confused? what might be the cause of this OverlayRenderrer problem with MPC/VLC? could it still just be the Forceware driver, although Zoomplayer works fine with it?

ok screw this question. i messed around with hit some more and fixed it:

i opened Nvidias overlay controle pannel when in mpc, and the 'standard' nv overlay options i guess are just messed with this driver verison or something.... anyway switching it over to 'advanced' nv overlay options turned the gama back to normal(i couldnt turn it normal in standard view), and that apears to have fixed the problem.

i dont know exaclty why zoomplayer wasnt afected, i had it set to overlay, but i also changed zoomplayers default overlay values, that could be why.
