Hi all,
I have a video-cd movie that it doesn’t have any subtitles incorporated. But i have the subtitles files that i downloaded from dvd.box.
Is there any software that i could use to play the dat file and then load the subtitles file?
All my divx players with subtitle capability can’t load the dat file.
Thanks for your help

I don't think whether this works with vcd's or not but you could try it.
Download VobSub from Doom9's site and install it.
Then you have to copy the subtitle in the same directory where the .dat or .mpg is. The name of the subtitle has to be the same as the filename from the movie-file. If you watch the movie with wmp 6.4, the subtitle should automatically be displayed.
Hope it works.

Well, it didn't worked :(
I had Vobsub installed when i installed the Gnot package. Maybe that isn't enough? If anyone can come up with other ideas, i would be very grateful.

I've found another player called radlight.
Here are some of the main features:
Based on RadLight OpenAPI Technology
Official DivX3, DivX4, MPEG-I, VideoCD Support
Multilanguage Audio Support
Support for 18 Subtitle Formats
Get it here: http://www.radlight.sk/
Hope this works now :)

Again, thank you for your efforts :)
What can i tell, this forum is great :)
I am downloading radlight as i type this.
When i get home latter in the day, i will try it. But if it doesn't work (i am crossing my fingers here ;) i thought of another chance: i will try opening the dat file in Vdub, then save it as AVI. Then i will be able to open it in any divx program.
But i will try radlight first (more simple this way)
Thanks again for your great help
