Huh?
A little vague. Are you saying that that DIVX is running on an XBox?

sorry guys
I thought it was self explanitory.
details:
Flushed the buffer in an hitachi gd-5000 (firmware 0215)
if (!!(result = WriteMemory(device, 0xFFB37E, 0x0022B2DF)))
Which allowed me to read past the end of where the toc saod the rom ended. The toc is actually longer then a standard drive can see normally.
The disk was actually
LBA 4148144
and at that point I was able to read evrything inbetween the security sectors(dead areas). The data that was suppose to be at those sectors, but was not, was replaced with xxxxxxxxxxx to fill the area and make a valid image.
The tools will not be released by me, but you can make your own.
Hitachi gd drives and some panasionc drives have this backdoor.
Almost any drive without firmware protection can be updated to read past the end. A simple trick that someone taught me how to do. I cannot release the tool, but you can make your own if you know the memory address of your drives buffer.
This is just an update on where the process is.
Those of you who know me know that I am not into ripping games at all. It was just a learning experience and some things have been learned that help, but not enough yet, to port linux, play mpeg4, make a vga cable and so on.

Does this mean that you can rip any X-Box title? Micro$oft and the other software developers for the X-Box must really be concerned about this...

Now alls someone needs to do is how to make a loader to execute, then we can maybe get to the mpeg stuff.

Yes, any title can be ripped. It requires actually putting it to tape and sending it off to have a dvd stamped at the present time if you want it to work. I am trying not to get into the tech of discussing games out of respect for doom9. This site has nothing to do with games and neither do I, except I was looking at the xbox files system in order to get more information. It is a dead end street at this point. The information will be available later when we can run applications that are not signed.
Please note these few facts.
There is an old sdk rip that that has no installer out there.
There is an incomplete real current version of an sdk (they have didderent levels)out there. It is short rars and it is missing some also. It does not installl a single file and is useless. Don't believe anyone if they tell you they have a working current SDK without getting your hands on it for yourself.
The kernel is floating around out there also.
This box has the the best copy protection out there yet. It is going to take some time, unless someone leaks info.
