Hi All

I have a video file that has been converted from ntsc to pal.
In the ntsc format it was 29.976fps 720x480 16x9.
In the pal format it is 25fps 720x576 16x9.

Now i have a .srt sub file for this video, but i think it is from
the ntsc format, so can this sub file be converted in any way
so that it works with the pal format videi file ?

Also is there any way to find out the info from a .srt sub file ?

Many thanks for any help

The .srt (SubRip) format is based on timecodes, not frame numbers.

So AFAIK your .srt file should work with both PAL and NTSC versions of the same movie, given that the movie has the same runtime in both versions.

Hi
Thanks for you'r reply.

I think that this is where the prob is.
The ntsc file was put into canopus procoder2 and made to
a pal file, now the time for the ntsc file was 1:32:25, but
Procoder2's pal output file is 1:28:38, so what happend ?

What can i do to get the sub file to be in time with the new
pal video file ?

Thanks

You can use SubtitleCreator to retime srt files.
