OpenSubtitles.org DirectShow filter code help

Hello,

I am programmer of www.opensubtitles.org site, I programmed this subtitles site for vision to have some DirectShow filter which will automatically download/upload subtitles from this site. Because I am not C/C++ programmer, I can't develop such a plugin. I think many users should welcome this system, eg:
1. user should use any sw player on windows which is supporting directshow filters
2. when he opens avi file, DS filter will count hash (it is same hash as gabest is using in MPC, I have sources...), sends this info to server and get response (simple described...)
3. uploading is possible too...

XMLRPC, API/Functions description is available too, I just want to know, if there is somebody (coder/s), who is interesting in this and will code such a DS filter. There is opensource program (still in development) coded in python, which already works (upload/download/login etc...).

Maybe It could be added in gabest's VSFilter. Unfortunately I'm a Delphi coder so I can't help there.

Adding to VSFilter should be the best, but I think developing is stopped, no one from administrators aren't responding, don't know what to do :( Time will solve this...I hope.

Yep, gabest seems to be busy with dscaler or other stuff he's working. But since VSFilter is open source, adding such a support would be a nice challenge for someone to do ;). I've done some work with directshow filters but unfortunately I'm busy with other projects right now. At some point I'll start a new video player for HTPC project, and will definitely look into this.

CyberShaman, thanks for reply. What do you think I should do ? I am looking for _someone_ who should add this to VSFilter, it would be really really nice, but I dont know where to post, or what to do. I will try to post message to SF feature request or so. Also, this cestion (developing) is reading only few people, maybe posting this question to general section will be better...what do you think?

Hmm, I only know Delphi forums. I'm sure that there is interest in this type of feature and there should be at least few people who are willing to try this challenge. Only problem is where to find these peoples.

The target forums should probably be some how related divx movies. That way the motivation level would be grater. You might also try to place and ad in you site.
