Hi guys ,
Im trying to add subtitles to a dvd movie I have.
The problem is that the original dvd has 25 chapters and 45 cells , when I author it using IfeEdit , I get a new dvd with 45 chapters and 45 cells , so I get IfoUpdate the authored Video_01.IFO with the Original to keep the menu.

any ideas how I over come this or make sure the authored dvd will have also 25 chapters and not 45?

Remove the chapters using Pgcedit

But will the authored dvd still support the chapter selection mode?
Do I need to remove them all from the authored dvd or only those from 26 to 45 ?

modify PG and PTT in the new ifo as in your original ifo

Click on the PG button in the PGC Editor to remove program and then fit the PTT table

And next time, use PGCedit's "cell text times" function to copy and use it back in IFOedit. This way you won't end up with 45 chapters. (not 100% certain).

As you're adding subtitles to a DVD I suppose you demuxed it in some stage, and if you do it with DVDDecrypter you can make it extract the chapter points into a file (IfoEdit style, guaranteed to not have too many chapters).

Had the same problem myself recently.

I usually demuxed with Vobedit , But I tried the way you said and muxed it back with DVDLab pro.

worked like a charm , :thanks:
