XMPEG is Slooooooow

Hi there.
Hope you can help.

I'm quite new at xmpeg (I used flask lots of times)
My problem is, that xmpeg seems to be VERY slow at my computer...

I'm using 2-pass encoding like i did in flask before...

But Xmpeg tells me it would take about 40 hours (!) where it took 2x8 hours at flask.

Im working on an WinXP-Machine with an Athlon 1.33 GHz with 256 MB DDR

Hope you can help me. Must be a setting, huh?

P.S: I performed varius IDCT-Tests, all working were 6 seconds or more under XMpeg

40 hours is the estimation time or the real time ??

I have an Athlon 1GHz with 256 SDRAM under XP.

At the begining, he say me about 50/60 hours (sometime more !), but after 10/30 minute it become about 10 hours (for one pass).

Really, it take about 7/8 hours for two pass !!! (with auto select IDCT)

Try and say me . . . perhaps someone have another idea ?
