How subscribe to any forum

Is it posible to subsribe to any forum like mailinglist via e-mail?

see on a forum overview page.. below the table at the left there's a button called "new thread". Below you'll find a text link "subscribe to this forum".. so you'll get email notification whenever a new message has been posted to a thread. However.. you won't get the message itself.
