alrity then, i have downloaded a couple avi's that when i encode in tmpgenc i loose the sound altogether on the final mpg.most the files i encode from divx to mpg tho i dont loose the sound.
i have the sound setting switched from 48,000 to 41,000 so it will be burnable in vcd format. ive had this happen b4 but didnt care now im wondering if there an add on or something i need to install for divx codes ?? dont know, always remember doom saying "get the VFP pluggin" so was thinkin maybe theres something else i missed.
possible that it just cannot be done with some divx files i dunno thats why im here , whoooop !!!

For others that may want to know: if i have such a file [such as last nite][The Fugitive] I load the divx file in v-dub open file set video at direct stream copy
audio to full processing mode -conversion 48 to 41
save file
open file in tmpgenc
encode
usually the sound track is way out of sync now
demux in tmpgenc
open mpeg vcr3.0 load the video an audio an resync
this may take a couple tries so i only do 5% of the movie to test sync b4 i redo whole file
then open tmpgenc tools cut an join an split into 2 files an burn with winoncd
job done
but as i said b4 sometimes it just doesnt work :(
so once again were back to the main question --Is There A Code Or Something I Might Need ?
have a happpy
