Vdub64 error trying to run

I have an AMD64 X2 3800+ CPU and when trying to run the EXE it gives me this error:

The image file ~~~ is valid, but is for a different machine type.

Do I have to set a different CPU mode in the BIOS in order to run this?

(I'm running 32bit Windows atm, but I thought the AMD64 chips could still execute 64bit code?)

No, you need 64-bit windows as stated on Virtualdub's download page. (http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/)
