Hey jdobbs. I'm getting a Run-time error: '75': Path/File access error in DVD-RB Pro 1.10.5. I'm re-encoding Underworld: Evolution from DVD-9 to DVD-9, the only change I'm making is converting VTS8 from 4:3 letterboxed to 16:9. The error occurs during Phase II when RB is extracting the video segments from VTS1, the actual movie. I do have plenty of free HD space on my drives, I've tried changing my work path to be a different drive and folder than the source, and the error seems to occur at different points in phase II. I'm not running any other programs at the same time, so I'm not sure what the file access error is.

Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what to tell you. That error is just reflecting what the operating system is telling DVD-RB. One of the specified paths is bad... what kind of drive are you using? Sometimes flakey drivers for USB (or other indirectly) connected devices can cause paths to "come and go".

You may want to post your REBUILDER.INI file, it might help.

Is that the NTSC version? I've done the NTSC, R1 version of the movie and didn't have any problems... Also, what did you use to rip it?

Ya it's the NTSC R1 version. I'm pretty sure I used CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD to rip it, with the option in AnyDVD to remove adverts and trailers. Maybe I'll try rebuilding/repairing the VIDEO_TS folder with a program like AnyDVD or PgcEdit, see what happens. I'll post my findings if I can figure out what the problem was, otherwise I'll just burn it as is because I really don't need to convert that VTS to widescreen! I just wanted to try. It's for the music video. :)

Most of the time it's better to leave the source pristine... you can't always count on 3rd party packages to get rid of all the references to things they may decide to remove.
