Hi there ,
I have hardware hi def player , Tvix 5000.
since it doesnt support .264 movies , Is there a way to convert it to .TS file (I guess it will have bigger size since we cancel the compression) so the TVix could stream it ? (It support only TS , WMV and MPEG formats...)

thx.

.TS is a container... what compression are you talking about?
also .264 is an h.264 raw stream (not a movie).
And no, the Tivx 5000 doesnt support h.264 (read the specs again) in any of the supported containers (including TS and MPG).
You should re-encode it to a supported format (divx,xvid,mpeg-2...).
Just read :readguid: to know how.

Thank you sharktooth.
In order to keep the same HD quality (1080i) or reduced it to maximum of 720p , how can I re encode from h.264 to something that is supported ?

and another qustion which is un clerified... if currently the movie size is 10GB , is there a way to re encode it to lower size but keep it in same high definition quality ?

thx again...
