Is there any way to mux subtitles to .ts stream? I record movies with dreambox and i'd like to insert subtitles to them to watch them on DM. I went to web hell and backwards and didn't find any solution to this. The only thing i could come up with is making a dvd with subtitles from the original ts and then converting it back to ts with VideoReDo, but i'm not even sure VideoReDo supports exporting subtitles. And even if it does, it's still to much hassle. Any ideas? :o

Naruto San....
How do I do that , that was the question.
The movie is Mpeg2 in .TS container (720p / 1080i movies).
How do I hard code the subs to it ? I've searched for a guide and couldn't find one to hardcode the subs to the movie while keeping the quality and ac3/dts sound.

maybe ffmpeg can be usefull - never tried add subs, but it can mux to the .ts video and audio and probably can "understand" subtitles...

hardcoding means overlaying the subs over the video and re-encoding. It isn't a good option as far as quality is concerned, but it does always work :)

you have to install a plugin call Drtic

What is it Drtic?
Drtic is a subtitler plugin for the Dreambox, dBox2 and Triple Dragon. With Drtic you can watch programme in foreign language with subtitles loaded to your Dreambox. Its development begun in March 2003. In April 25th 2003 it was released to users.
then use the program call DreamSub to uploade your subtitle
You can uploade subtitles to your db in srt and sup format...
