avi to dvd conversion output too big

Hi can anyone help please. I have been using an older version of avi2dvd for a while with a lot of success. However, i have recently downloaded and started using the latest build and it is great - except the resulting dvd is too big and i have to run it thru shrink everytime before i can burn it :( i have looked at all the settings but i cannot see which is wrong. :confused:

I'm afraid I can't see which setting is wrong either. My crystal ball must not be working properly today! :)

The setting that determines final output size is the CD Size box in the Bitrate Tab. Set it to 4464 if doing 1 avi to 1 full dvd. Check that the Encoder is set to Multipass VBR with number of passes set to 1 or 2. Then there is no way it can produce an oversized dvd, unless the problem lies outside DVD2SVCD.
