View Full Version : How to create a menu from file-names automatically?

Hi,

I have every week a bunch of small files which must be burned on a DVD. The files are coded in mpeg2 and consits of scientific material. The file-names are very complicated.

After burning them on a DVD each file should be accessible from a DVD-title-menu.

Does anyone know about a software which will create the titles of a menu automatically using the filenames? (some small additionally editing would be ok. But typing or copying all the titles manually is not so much fun).

I tried DVD-LAB and TempEncDVD-Author 1.6, but I have allways to type the titles by myself.

Thanks in advance for any idea.

regards

An interesting idea. I was just about to release a new version of DVDplanner which has autom menu creation - i could easily add an option to write the filename instead of default Video 1, Video 2 etc.....

Give me a few...

Please try GUI for DVDAuthor. It creates automatically menu using the m2v file names.

Does it work with DVDAuthor 1.6 or do I need the newer version?

OK, thanks. I downloaded it and had a first short look. It looks good. Tomorrow I will read the instructions carefully and have a first try.

Thanks for your help, guys
