Hi,
I have a video file that's mostly progressive, with occasional moving captions which have been added over the top. These are interlaced. I'd like to deinterlace the captions while leaving the rest as intact as possible. Can anyone suggest a deinterlacer/settings that will do this?
The video has slight noise, and most deinterlacers I've tried (Aparysoft, KernelDeInt, SmartDeinterlace) have introduced twinkling in the progressive bits (which is most of it!), while others (e.g. FieldDeinterlace) reduce sharpness.
An Example is here:....
Edit: I forgot to say, it's PAL.
Edit2: never mind. TDeint with full=false did what I wanted.
