can anyone help me please, i am trying to backup the day after tomorrow bonus disc which is over 8Gb and for some reason it freeze`s at 18% encode mode. i have used shrink and it comes up at over 400Mb over size (red bar at top) so it wont do it unless i reauther it which i don`t want to do. Is there a limit to what it can compress, i have done large films before but not this big. I`m useing 4 pass vbr, cce sp 2.66 any help much appreciated.

1. Is the encoder still up-and-running on the screen when it freezes?
2. Does your whole sytem freeze, or just the app?
3. What version of DVD-RB?

The size isn't significant. You're only limited by disc space.

You wouldn't be using the Kaspersky Antivirus software would you?

You wouldn't be using the Kaspersky Antivirus software would you?hi jdobbs, no i`m not useing kaspersky what ever that is, i`m useing avg free version. i will try the other encoders and see what happens. if that fails then, its only a bonus disc so it does not matter, the DVD-RB has been exellent with over 100 backups so i do not mind the odd film going wrong.

@woodman,

I'm curious to know what version of DVD-RB you are using, and what version of DGDecode.

1.10.5 is the latest. Why not upgrade? If you go to the Help Menu and select "Display Versions", It will tell you what version of DGDecode you are using, RB supports multiple versions.
