I have been trying to use this GUI for authoring a DVD. It automatically creates one button each for the titles inserted, in the main menu. In the titleset menus it has a back button. I am unable to find any instruction that can add some more buttons in these menus or create a new menu page as submenus or introduction menu. Can someone help me.

I could find the solution. Need to check 'Advanced' in settings. The guide needs to be better designed

I struggle with this, and find it a tad irritating.
GUI_for_dvdauthor is freeware, and the guide has always been helpful and informative, IMO.
Having only just read your question, and you've already posted your reply, in which you found the solution yourself, it does seem that criticism is a touch harsh.
I've used GUI_for_dvdauthor for a while, now, and have always found it quite easy to use, and if I've not know how to do something, a bit of exploring and experimenting has worked wonders.

Sorry if my comments sounded harsh. I knew that creating new buttons is possible in this Gui but from index I could not find anyway to do it. Also there is an option to 'delete all possible' which I am afraid to touch lest all the work I have done is lost. These are a bit irritating and my comments are only suggestions for the author to improve the guide further so that all can use it without experimenting.

Two things:-
1. It's freeware, and developed AND released for the good of the community. Having people criticise either the ease of use of the software, and / or the guide / documentation released with it, PUBLICLY, may well be something of a discouragement for the author.
2. For software that's intended for people more advanced than complete computer novices, means it's not an unreasonable expectation that the user audience do some experimentation and discovery in order to best find out how they can achieve their personal aims with it. You don't have to waste loads of authoring time to do so or work you already want to commit to. If you want to find out how buttons or other aspects of it work, you can load some dummy files, or just use a scratch session and valid files to play around with other buttons and menus.
If there's something you want to know about when using the package, there's nothing wrong in asking in a public forum, to see if anybody knows the answer - I want to emphasise this point.
But perhaps if you feel something is lacking and feel the need to criticise, maybe it would be better for all, for you to contact the author directly, rather than publicly criticising software and work that he's released for the good of the community. That's my point, no more, no less.

Please see description and user comments in videohelp.com There are all sorts of comments. I do not think the author gets discouraged by these. It will on the other hand ensure that in the next release these concerns are addressed.

Well its always possible to do experimentaton, but the guide is supposed to lessen this.

I started to use this GUI because I found this to have some features which I could not find in others. Just because it is free does not mean that it may not be criticised. Criticism is constructive if meant well.
I also author software. In fact public comments or bugs are in this very doom9 forum. I never felt its bad. It is good others also know about these concerns.
Since this is turning into a general discussion I think I will not comment any further about this issue.
