Updating to Avisynth 2.5.6

Hello everyone,

I am using the latest Pro version, and I have been manually updating from release to release with the zip files. But, I saw on the front page that the latest installer now uses the more recent Avisynth 2.5.6. I have everything set up with ECL and what not and was afraid of losing settings if I used the installer program for the latest pro release.

Or is there a way to manually update Avisynth? Or do I just go and install the most recent version with the *.exe installer?

Control Panel - Add Remove Progs - Remove AVISynth

Then do a full install. It wil ask you if you wanna overwrite your settings. Say no.

You won't lose any settings using the Installer as long as you say "No" when it asks whether to overwrite your INI file.

It wasn't until after I'd submitted my post that I realized I was pretty much just repeating what blutach said... it was early. ;)
