View Full Version : Is it possible to copy a TMAPTI over to another IFO?

I had a problem with some dvds which didn't allow me to use the nav slider (in PowerDVD) and there were no PUPs present. Finally getting to the bottom of it I found that these dvds were missing the TMAPTI.
Using IFOedit I tried remaking the IFO files and sure enough a TMAPTI was created which solves the problem but the menus don't work as they did.
Since then I've been trying to find a way to simply graft the TMAPTI from the newly generated IFO file to the original one and can't find a way to do it using IFOedit. Very frustrating.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how this could be achieved? If not is there a way to get IFOedit just to add a missing TMAPTI and leave everything else alone?

No need to import it - Pgcedit can create TMAP tables
mark PGC in left pane
choose in Top Menu Bar
Title - Rebuild time map of current PGC
save DVD

Thanks I had just discovered that pgcedit created them but for some reason it didn't release the slider. There's more to this than I thought so I guess I have to try to find out what's different about the IFOs that IFOedit created. It appears though that even these won't work unless I use both VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO which has the TMAPTI table. I
I don't know enough about this to really know where to look.

Probably not one sequential title.

You should also verify the PUOs.

Thanks!! That kicked me in the right direction. Comparing the IFOedit version and the original I see that IFOedit did make this 'one sequential' whereas the original was not.
Changing this after getting pcgedit to create the time maps solved the problem. It works!.
Now I think I'll go and explore what the consequences are of changing the sequential mode. I can't see any problems when played on the pc but perhaps the implications on a standalone might be significant.
Thanks for your help everyone.
