12th August 2006, 15:06

For your information: I deinstalled the beta (AutoQMatEnc033b07) before I installed 0.33. QMATOpt was turned on.

Test 2:
I tried another PAL movie without ILVU, everything runs fine. :)

Test 3:
As SW3 was a preprocessed source with a shrinked menu and deleted english menus/trailers/extras I've made another test with an untouched source => same result, AQE crashed at the identical segment. :(

Test 4:
Did the same like in Test 1 with CCE SP. 2.70, everything runs fine. :)

As both of you guys released a new version, I'm not sure what might be the reason. :confused:
jdobbs changed something in the ILVU section, maybe this doesn't match with AQE 0.33?

If you need more infos, please let me know.

Well... since CCE worked correctly and AQE uses the CCE ECL, I'd say I'll defer to SAPSTAR.

@SAPSTAR

Any problems with any of these settings:

all_closed_gop=1
fix_gop_length=1
fix_vbv_delay=1

Or this?
vbr_brate_max=5889

Those are the only things that might distinguish an ILVU segment from any other.

Absolutely....

The all_closed_gop and fix_gop_length shouldn't be a pb but you're right I'll have to investigate that because few people are using this option so it was not tested that much!
I did many ILVU encodes and none ever finished "bad".....But my tests were with the ECL generated with previous versions of DVDRB....
I'll keep you informed.
@RippRaff : Could you try to set all_closed_gop=0 and fix_gop_length=0 for this specific ECL?!(and restart the encode) And let me the know the result?! I'll try to reproduce the pb....

[EDIT] I was able to reproduce the problem, I dont know why, but when the all_closed_gop setting is set, sometimes AVCodec fails to open the stream?! I'll have to investigate that...I never had this issue before as the ECL egenrated by DVDRB never contained it before this version...:(

[EDIT] Got it............raaaah! :) I'll release an emergency patch today, as people encoding some ILVU may have some issues.

Just follow this link :
AutoQMatEnc 0.34.1 (http://rapidshare.de/files/29145679/AutoQMatEnc03401.rar.html). This version corrects this annoying bug....sorry for this! :scared:

@SAPSTAR

Although it's still running I can confirm that the problem segment has passed. :)

By the way why didn't you upload the beta to your own beta area or have you changed AutoQMatEnc_Setup033.exe in the meantime?

Just a question of time :) But on Monday, I will update the Beta Tester area! :D Thx for your tests.

You're welcome, glad you've found the reason. :)
