Trouble with HDDVD

I am trying to back up the XXX version of Pirates. It is an HDDVD. The movie files appear to be .wmv files. Anyone know about these types of DVDs?

Hi!I am trying to back up the XXX version of Pirates. It is an HDDVD.I don't believe this is possible presently. (I believe they actually use the MS VC-1 codec/format)

By the way, isn't that part of a multi-disc set that includes a "normal" DVD version as well?
