I've noticed that when your ripping NTSC or Film that during the process the Frame Type is displayed...ie Progressive, Interlaced.

But when your ripping PAL, the box is empty and its only when the rip has finished that it displays the frame type..Otherwise the only way to tell frame type when ripping Pal is to Play or Preview the Vob file.

Is this normal or something that just hasnt been fixed yet.

Also, i noticed quite a a few versions of DGIndEx ago (and DVD2avi), that you could open the information box and it would stay open..Now the information box only open during Ripping or Preview/Play and as soon as you manually drag in DGindex..it closes again..It was sort of handy being able to have the info box stay open..if...say, you want to rip a 1 minute chunk of DVD for experiment encoding purposes..with the current versions, pretty much the only way to tell where one minute is, is to play and stop at the right point.

One last thing, Do you think there will ever be a cut function added to DGindex..You know...Your ripping a TV show and the intro is 4 minutes into the show but you dont want to encode that bit..So you mark the start and end of the intro and CUT..its gone...then you save your project with whats left.

These are not demands or anything..I'm also very happy with the way DGIndex functions and thankfull for Neuron2's hard work.
These are more....well..musings and wishfull thinkings ;)

There is a cut function just like the one you describe.

1. If by "ripping" you mean the Save Project operation, then it is the same for all video; the info box Frame Type field is not populated, although it is populated once at the end because a frame is displayed. This is not a bug.

2. Info box visibility has been discussed many times. I'm not interested in going over it yet again.

3. You can cut a range to retain using the [ and ] buttons.
