Ok i spend 1 month of time to copy shrek but finaly it works.
What you need:
ifo-edit latest version
v_stripper
vobtool
Smartripper 2.36 not 2.40
Mediamatics player
Shrek is a movie with multi-angle a lot of rippers have the option multi angle but it does not work with Shrek.
So when you ripped the movie it will hang or stop when the multi angle scenes begins. So what i did was that:
ripped it normal with smartripper with the options regionfree and demacrovision, unlockdrive....
then copy all the ifo and bups to a dirictory to keep the original when you make a mistake you have a backup.
part 2
The menu of Shrek is about 700 mb ...hmmm verry large but also great!
i did`nt want to lose the funny stuff and there was also a karoke part i did not want to lose . So i used v stripper to load the
Vts_01-0.vob ( menu) I stripped it many times to have all the things i wanted and get rid of 350 mb.
The karaoke part was on vts_01_03.vob about 100 mb i leave it that way. The other vob`s of the dvd from 01_02.vob till 01_09.vob were extra`s. I used v strip to keep the main files and get rid of a nother 3 gigabite. hehehe.. You can also use vobtool to get rid of the vob chapter within a vob file.

Then i get back to ifo edit from derrow, He`s is a great prog writer and i am verry glad with his ifo edit to correct the tables and vobs.... and i`ll stripped out the main movie with one englis sub and the englis ac3 file. and get rid of 1 gigabite.
then i`ll saved the new ifo`s and bups, and recreate the tables and corrected the vobs , saved again the ifo`s, then i pushed the butoon get vts on alll vts*_* in the dir and did the same with the video_ts

Does it work:
ill found only one player capeble to work with that was mediamatics dvd player. He load the video_ts files while other proggies play`s everthing in the directory. When this player skips chapters or gives grey screen you movie in not corect.
part 5
i did used gear dvd to burn, because gear gives you an error when something is not right. It loads the video ts map and the video_ts file and works step by step from vts 1 to the last vts. When he stops at a point he can give an error like can`t find vts01_02.bup or so and when your movie begins with the second vob files like vts 01_02.vts you know something is`nt right. Seeing this forum other people have the same problems with gear dvd. i went to a nother proggie like prassi. He does not check the files but i know when mediamatis play my movie and all his chapters including the menu the movie is fine. I burned shrek and it play`s like a beautifull bitch on my stand alone.
Gear have one problem he works with perfect video_ts.ifo`s and vts.ifo so if one thing in not correct in the tables it stops loading the files to burn.
I have also used vob instant dvd , derrow also uses this but when i burn it with that proggie it play on a ps2, and cyberlink dvd players but not on players like sony, pioneer , and philips, so i don`t know if i do something wrong with this proggie.
data dvd, udf 1.02 , iso 9660, 2 maps video_ts and Audio_ts burn.
Don`t work with me
You can also go to video_dvd with the dsame options but that i did not try yet, Derrow said he write it in dvd data mode udf 1.02
so if anyone has a sugestion with vob instant dvd let me know please.
now i only work with prassi but that proggie burns verry slow 1 speed. also with the update and settings on auto speed... hmmmm

But specialy Derrow without him i did not get the movies to play at all.
