i just installed DVDAuthorGUI but now when i try to watch any DVD in WMP10 i get the error message "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection."

DVDs used to work but straight after i installed DVDAuthorGUI, they don't.

I even tried DVDAuthorGUI on my other computer, Same problem.

I did a bit of a search in google and on the DVDAuthorGUI website but i came up dry.

Can someone please help me.

My guess is you are doing the 'full install' which of course, installs the dscaler mpeg2 decoder. I am assuming that wmp does not accurately work with other mpeg2 filters, other than its own. Personally, I would suggest using a better software player, such as media player classic or VLC. To resolve your issue though, all you should need to do is unregister the dscaler filter. This can easily be done from the command line by using the following command.
regsvr32 /u mpegvideo.dll
This will unregister the dscaler mpeg2 decoder.
