2cd-divx -> 1cd-divx

hi ho ;)

which is the best (best quality) way to reduce a divx from 2 cds to one?
sound quality cant be reduced, and of course i dont wanna cut parts out ;P

The best way would be to re-encode the original material (DVD, captured video) with lower bit-rate. If it is absolutely impossible, find such parts in your video, where there is very little motion, extract them using VDub Direct stream copy, re-encode using smaller bit-rate and stick them back. Also check Nicky Page. There must be some article about that.

What does this have to do with capturing?
