Thanks for the great app jdobbs.

I do all my backups with the main movie only because I don't need/want all the extra stuff on the DVD. Usually DVDRB does a nice job of finding the main movie when I go into 'main movie' mode and everything works out fine. This is not the case, however, with the movie 'Freedomland'.

Freedomland has both a 16:9 and 4:3 version of the film on the same DVD. When I select 'main movie' mode, I am left with only the 4:3 version, and I would rather have the 16:9 version.

Does anyone know of an easy way to have just the 16:9 version of the film?

Thanks.

you could use clonedvd2 to get just the main movie and menu. use the output for dvd9 so it doesnt transcode and then run that output through DVD-RB.

just a thought

I'll look into some code to select the PGC you wish to keep as the Feature. I'm already working on something similar in the code I'm writing for iPod output.

Thanks. I don't see this happening much, but it would be useful for those rare cases. For today, a quick re-author in dvdshrink with only the main movie and no compression did the trick.

Blanking the FF title with VobBlanker is another option too. In cases like these, you usually have nothing more to do (read, < 4.37GB) after blanking one of the aspect ratios.
