hi, i was wondering, how do i convert a divx compressed AVI file, with a subtitle stream built in (no outside file) too DVD and still include the subtitles on stream 2 ? i tried it so far with VSO, but it says it cant recognize the 2nd stream so it ignores it, when i load the episodes with windows media player, directvobsub opens and the subtitles show up, but if i convert it using vso, the subtitles are missing, and there are no txt files to download or anything, there are no outside subtitle files, is there anyway i can make the dvd with the subtitles that are embedded in the avi episodes?

If your subs are soft-coded (in a separate stream), you can demux them using VirtualDubMod. I can't help you for the DVD editing stuff, I never use it.

that doesnt seem to work, vdubmod cant see the stream when i go to list it, either that or im doing it incorrectly, under the information though, it says it has 3 streams, video, audio and data

Then they're probably in a format VDM can't read and you'll need another demuxer, but I don't know any...

Load your file into Avi_Mux_Gui, hit "Generate data from files". Once it shows u the audio and subtitles, right-click the subtitle stream and select "Extract subtitle to text file".
And done.
Then, open the file with a DVD subtitle maker like "Subtitle Creator" (not "Subtitles Creator" (with an "S"), they are two totally different programs). Once loaded, select the options to acommodate the sub to your needs and export.
Then load them into your DVD authoring app.
Thatīs about it.

Cheers.
