I just did some tests ... but it seems x264 looseless is broken.
x264 just closes without an error.
my cmd:
x264.exe --qp 0 --nf --analyse p8x8,b8x8,i4x4 --thread-input --progress --no-psnr --output "C:\tsu.mkv" "C:\tsu.avs"
Resolution is 704x400 and yv12


if i remove --analyse completely from my cmdl it works... (bug?)

can s.o. confirm this?

Update: i tried the same cmdl several times, sometimes it works sometimes not.

try instead of .mkv .264 as output hehe

well switching output to .264/.mp4 helps, 10/10 times i tried it worked so far...

but i would like to stay with mkv output... i know muxing is not a big problem with mmg but for 30-40files in a row itīs annoying...

yeah something is definately wrong, for me .264 allways works but .mp4 and .mkv sometimes fail randomly and then again work it's spooky

i reverted to an older gpac version in rev 551.
however i NEVER experienced problems in recent builds...

ok just a small statistic:
mkv output 1 of 10 works (Sharktooth build) 6.52fps
mkv output 10 of 10 works (x264.nl build) 7.23fps

With the x264.nl one it runs fine everytime I tried... and there is also a small difference in speed...

mp4 works more often than mkv but sometimes it fails too. the only thing that works always is raw output.

Sometimes encoding just donīt start... as you see it the screenshot..(same with *.mkv)

i cant replicate...
well cruncher seems to have the same issue, so i think the problem is not on my side.

Well, we should find what's causing the problem then.
Coz mp4 and mkv work 10 out of 10 times here.

Build 551 has been giving me this error, too.

MP4 will go more consistently, but .mkv output for my last several encodes has been forked.

It loads the avis info and then dies.

Relevant commandline:

C:\megui-2148-mindist\tools/x264\x264.exe --pass 2 --bitrate 740 --stats "C:\Encoding\input.stats" --ref 5 --mixed-refs --no-fast-pskip --bframes 6 --b-pyramid --b-rdo --bime --weightb --direct temporal --subme 6 --trellis 1 --analyse all --8x8dct --me umh --merange 24 --threads 2 --thread-input --progress --no-dct-decimate --no-psnr --output "C:\Encoding\input.mkv"
