I cant get my avi/ac3 file to play through the Audigy, using its 5.1 decoding capability. It can play 5.1 ac3 files fine on its own, using Playcenter. But with avi/ac3 files, I can only get it to do 5.1 when i use the spdif out and let my receiver do the decoding. I already used up all the analog outputs on Audigy and have it connected to the multi-channel inputs on my receiver.
The best ive done so far is have it play in 4 speaker stereo (not 4.1) using Windvd 2000, bsplayer, & powerdivx. the bsplayer & powerdivx always seem to load up the creative dxr 3 filter whenever i play an avi/ac3 file. I think that could be part of the problem. Here is the list of filters that show up in powerdivx when i play it:
AC3 from AVI Xform
AVI Splitter
Creative Labs Encore Dxr3 filter
Default WaveOut Device (I set it as directsound before, didnt work either)
Divx Decoder Filter
Video Renderer.
