i have a large avi with h264 content (HD stuff) and I want to mux it to mkv, however when i try to extract the raw h264 stream the result file is only 1 GB (the source avi is 3,79 gb) and avi2raw says it dropped zero length frames. the mpeg4ip version is 1.4.4, I was looking for a windows binary of 1.5.x but i didn't find it.
Any suggestions how to get that avc out of that ugly avi?
cheers

The new version didn't work either, so I suppose it's a bug in avi2raw.

it only writes 2gb of output and then skips the other frames. somebody is using signed 32 bit int I guess.

Uhm... are you using FAT32 or NTFS? Also AVI has problems with files bigger than 2Gb...

FAT32??? what is that? :P
I know AVI has problems with > 2 GB, but tell that those idiots who put 6 GB x264 into a single avi file.
I actually just found out that VLC is able to demux the raw h264 stream.

if you think that its a bug in avi2raw, you might want to make a bug report on the mpeg4ip forum:
