Hey guys,

yet another question on DVD processes: if I press the "Root Menu"-button on the remote control while I watch the movie stored in a title does the DVD player execute the post-commands of the running title set or does this only happen if the movie is finished?

No - post commands are not executed if you press menu button. Current position in title is stored within the player and you can resume pressing menu button once more or with a RSM command.
Post-commands are executed if the movie is finished or a cell (button-) command such as LinkTailPGC is executed.
